Altar Servers
Altar servers help the priest as he celebrates the Mass. Adults, girls and boys, 4th grade and above are invited to join this ministry. Training classes are held several times a year.

Altar Society
Altar Society is a social and service organization open to all women of the parish. Altar Society helps provide altar supplies such as wine, hosts and candles. We organize Lenten Luncheons, among other services, and other social activities in our church and the Emmett Community. Altar Society meets every first Thursday at 7:00 pm.

Art & Environment
Church Environment volunteers arrange the altar decorations and flowers, and set the church banners according to the church liturgical year cycles.

Bulletin Stuffer - Office Helper
There is an occasional need for help in placing additional information in the bulletins prior to disbursing. Bulletin work is normally on Wednesday mornings at the office. There is also an occasional need to help with mail-outs.

Coffee Hour
Coffee hour is after the 9:00 am Mass on Sunday April-October and every 4th Sunday November-May.

Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister
This ministry is open to confirmed Catholics 16 years of age and older who have a deep love for the Eucharist, and who wish to share love with every member of the worship community through service in liturgical celebrations.

Garden Ministry
Maintenance of the land, grounds, and shrubs of the Church property is primarily done by our good stewards.

These adult and children's choirs provide liturgical and other hymns for our Spanish-language Masses and other celebrations.

Home-bound & Elderly Connections
We assist adult parishioners who have medical conditions which limit their participation in the parish community. We connect them with volunteers who can help them by providing transportation to Mass and other church related functions, visiting in person or by phone. Caring volunteers are always welcome.

Knights of Columbus
This Catholic family, fraternal, and service organization is open to all men, 18 years of age and older of the parish. The Knights of Columbus are involved in special Church, community and family activities.

Lectors proclaim the word of God at each Mass during the Liturgy of the Word. Lectors are asked to spend time with

Maintenance
The Maintenance Committee maintains the church buildings and grounds. This committee makes light repairs to the church facilities, rakes leaves, removes snow and ice among other miscellaneous tasks.

Marian Ladies
The Marian Ladies are a spiritual, social, and service organization—with a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. We sponsor special parish events throughout the year and we mix a bit of fun in all of our activities. Marian Ladies meet the first Tuesday of the month, September – May, at 7:00 p.m. Annual Dues are just $10. Contact Laurie Boston - President - 208-365-5070

Music is a means of moving our spirits toward God. It is in this spirit, that music is interwoven into the masses at Sacred Heart Church. It is the desire of every musician to support scripture and enhance worship. All individuals that sing, play an instrument or keyboard are invited to participate in the music ministry of Sacred Heart Church.

The Sacred Heart Pastoral Council is a consultative body to the the Pastor. The council assists the Pastor in forming and communicating policy and direction to the parish.

Sacristans serve their community by preparing the church for worship. Their duties include regulating the heating and lighting, preparing and cleaning liturgical vessels and clearing the altar.

Community Outreach
This group of volunteers is dedicated to social concerns in the parish and secular community. Our parishioners donate items to our Food Bank, and the local Coalition Food Bank. We also provide volunteers who help prepare, cook, and serve once every six weeks at the Friends Coalition Dinner held at the Methodist church. At Christmas we provide food and gift baskets to those in need.

Usher - Greeters
Usher - Greeters are ministers of hospitality. They greet people coming to the Mass, pass out the bulletin, and help make the best use of church space. They take up the collection and present it to the congregation. They are available to help anyone in need during mass.
